Gambling Harms Prevention in Children & Young People Webinar - 20/10/2026 9:30-11am.

• To raise awareness of gambling harms and the risk to children and young people, both as individuals and as ‘affected others’, how to recognise the signs and how to access resources and support.
• Gambling harms is an increasing public health issue, globally and nationally, and there is a growing body of evidence of the threat to children and young people’s health and wellbeing, related to gaming/gambling harms.
• Bristol City Council is taking action to prevent gambling harms, in collaboration with city wide partners. This will be supported by the government’s statutory gambling levy and our approach will be aligned with the national strategic objectives to prevent gambling harms.

What to expect: the session will be interactive, with the opportunity to discuss how the risk from gaming/gambling harm may be relevant in your settings. Plus, how we might take collective action to protect our children and young people. 

Who is it for: Professionals who work with children and young people in education, community and health related settings in Bristol. Young people aged 0-19 (SEND up to 25).
