Training

Various courses and offers you can undertake to develop your skills and knowledge as a safeguarding practitioner.

The Safeguarding in Education Team aims to increase participants’ knowledge and skills of safeguarding so that the workforce can provide high-quality services and improve outcomes for children and young people. We aim to curate relevant courses in a centralised space (this means not all courses are provided by the Safeguarding in Education Team). Due to this, some of the opportunities may have different registration processes and costs.

  • For bespoke training requests (training delivered to your team at your setting) please visit our Commissioned Services page and complete an application form.
  • For further CPD and informal learning opportunities please consider joining one of our Professional Networks.

Costs and administration.

All proceeds of courses administered and delivered by the Safeguarding in Education Team go towards the High Needs Block for vulnerable learners. Please click on the various links for course costs and sign up forms.

Training at the moment.

During the current team capacity, we are delivering all of our training virtually using Microsoft Teams. This will be reviewed but currently forecast dates have accounted for virtual delivery.
