Inspiring Dementia Action in Bristol Schools and Colleges
There are approximately 1 million people living with dementia in the UK.
A diagnosis of dementia is made every 3 minutes.
Dementia education helps pupils develop understanding, empathy and responsible citizenship while supporting healthier lifestyle choices and wellbeing. By increasing awareness and reducing stigma, schools can help create more dementia-friendly communities and a future workforce better equipped to support those affected by dementia.
What we can offer your school:
- Free assemblies raising awareness of dementia
- Free Dementia Friends sessions for pupils, deepening knowledge and understanding and enabling positive social change
- Free bespoke sessions with visitors sharing their lived experience of dementia
- Free sessions for staff and / or parents
